A counselling site that finally sounds like the counsellor.

Nissa Wallace runs Comfort & Courage Counselling in Victoria, BC. We moved her practice off Wix onto a fast site she owns, rewrote it in her voice, and set it up so she can update it herself.

The problem

A site that didn't sound like her

People looking for a counsellor are deciding who they can trust with something hard. The old Wix site covered the basics, but it read like a template, not like Nissa. And because she sees clients online from home, she needed to be easy to find without her home address showing up on Google.

  • Generic copy that didn't reflect how she actually works
  • A monthly site builder bill for a site she didn't really own
  • Privacy limits on tracking, and a home address to keep off the map
What we did

Built around how they actually work

    Rewrote it in her voice

    We worked through every page with Nissa until it sounded like a first conversation with her: warm, plain and unhurried. She signed off on all of it before launch.

    Built a fast site she owns

    A lightweight site with no site builder subscription, tuned for speed, with automated checks on desktop, tablet and phone so a change never quietly breaks the layout.

  3. 03

    Private by design

    A Google listing as a service-area business, so clients find her without seeing her home address. Booking stays on Jane, so the site never collects anything it shouldn't.

  4. 04

    Ready to be found

    Every old Wix link redirected to its new page, the site indexed on Google and Bing, analytics in place, and a contact form that emails her directly.

  5. 05

    Hers to grow

    A simple editor for blog posts, FAQs and services. She launched with two finished posts and can add more at her own pace.

What changed

The new site went live on 7 October 2026, indexed on Google and Bing from day one, with a real enquiry tested through the contact form. Early numbers once analytics has a month or two of data: enquiries, bookings, search traffic.
